We have two separate machining facilities focused on machined castings and forgings. Our facilities are in excellent financial shape and have been in business for 53 years. We have over 100 CNC machines and two separate manufacturing facilities. One in the Chicago area and one on the IL/IA border. We have decades of experience taking TIER ONE responsibility for delivering turnkey line-ready machined castings, machined forgings, and large diameter bar stock components up to 16 inches in diameter.
| Machining Equipment | Over 100 CNC machines(CNC lathes with live tooling from 2" to 16” diameter with lengths up to 24”. Vertical machining centers 20” cube. Horizontal Machining centers 30” cube. Many machines have twin spindles, gantry loaders as well as robotic loading & extraction from the machines. |
| Materials Machined | Bar Stock materials including Steel, Stainless steel, Aluminum, Grey & Ductile iron castings, Aluminum as well as SS castings, Cast tubing, Drawn tubing, Forgings of many different materials and many others. |
| Industries Served | Agriculture, Heavy Truck, Off-Highway, Hydraulics, Lift truck and many others. |
| Broaching | We have multiple in-house Broaching machines to meet your broaching requirements. |
| Spline Rolling | We have multiple pieces of spline rolling equipment in-house. |
| Balancing | We have years of experience and multiple pieces of balancing equipment in-house. |
| Turnkey Tier 1 Line Ready parts | We have decades of experience purchasing all the bar stock, tubing, castings as well as forgings we need to meet our customers' requirements. We do all the machining as well as the assembling and then manage the painting, powder coating and plating that may be required to meet our customers' requests. |
| Two Manufacturing Facilities | We have 2 Sister plants located 90 miles apart. Perfect for disaster recovery plans. |
| Quality | ISO 9001:2015 Certified. |
Common Applications of Machined Castings, Machined Forgings & Large Diameter Bar Stock:
Commonly used materials include Bar Stock materials such as:
Per the customers' request; We can take over the purchasing responsibilities and buy the raw materials and deliver a finished turnkey line-ready part. We are also comfortable using customer-supplied raw materials, castings or forgings when the raw material supply chain is already established. In these situations, we will use the raw material that is supplied to us, then take responsibility for all the machining as well as secondary operations and assembly services but the cost of the raw material will not be included in our piece part price.
We can take complete responsibility for machining a raw casting, forging, drawn tubing, cast tubing as well as many bar stock materials ranging from 2.5 inches to 16inches in diameter. There are many additional problems that can occur when machining a casting and a forging but there are many benefits as well. Some of the problems that can occur such as shink, porosity, pattern shift, twisted castings, folds in forgings as well as surface finishes and casting clean up that do not normally occur when machining bar stock or plate materials.
One of the biggest benefits of using a raw casting or a raw forging as well as cast or drawn tubing is that the base material you are starting with is a near net shape of the object you are striving to produce. As a result, less machining is required to obtain the finished part.
At this manufacturing facility, we can machine bar stock components ranging from 2.5 inches in diameter up to 16 inches in diameter.
We are very accustomed to buying a wide variety of bar stock, cast tubing, drawn tubing, raw forgings, sand castings, investment castings, as well as permanent mold castings. The benefit of starting with a raw casting or a raw forging is that you are starting with a near net shape of the final part you are striving to produce. Since you're starting with a near net shape, you do not need to remove as much material during the machining process. The end goal is to help our customers meet their required drawing specifications and produce the finished part at the best possible price.
Another benefit of using machined forging is that the forging has an upset grain structure that makes the raw material extremely strong. This creates a more difficult part to machine but provides an end product that meets the customers' requirements and provides significant strength as well as the ability to meet high-pressure requirements.
We machine Bar stock as well as cast tubing or drawn tubing depending on what raw material will assist in providing the Lowest Total Cost manufacturing process in the end. If the volume of a part is very low, then it will probably not make sense to pay for the cost of a casting pattern or a forging die.
Once we understand what the scope of the project is, we can work with your engineers, quality department as well as purchasing group to make recommendations as to what your raw material options could be for each specific component.

Our Multi-Spindle and automatic screw machining facility has been in business for over 70 years.
The concept of the Swiss machine is that the raw material bar itself moves towards the cutting tool that is doing the work rather than the tool traveling to the bar.
